Is everyone really busy? Are we going to do Kokanee again or is everyone happy to do Fosthall? I was kinda expecting some feedback, comments one way or the other on what we all wanted to do...
We need to get this rolling or we'll end up pissing away Friday picking up supplies and not get to the base parking area until Saturday night. I guess we can wing it and hope for the best, I'm pretty happy to roll

ReplyDeleteYeah. Been busy.... Got layed off and had to reorganize everything so I could store my stuff stashed around the shop.... Plus I just started a decent size order for predator ridge that I needed done.... So between that and getting use to new job/field work and catching up on everything planned .... I'm so f'd.....
Anyways enough of me and my excuses.....definit plans need to start forming... Role call and all that.... Hardly anyone has chimed in..... I need to get my ass together..... Is it just a normal weekend? Or do I need to book some time off somehow.... If anything else let's go rock fostall Jon! Two of us if we have too
Its the long weekend, August 4-6, I took the 3rd off as well, as usual, so we can get a jump on it. Fosthall is good with me, I guess no one else cares. I know Rob is in, so it won't be just 2 of us, and hopefully we hear from Ains and Morty before then. Morty if you read this, I'm planning to head up Thursday night after work, or early Friday morning if you want me to pick you up from the ferry.

He talked to Laura for a while, I guess I did not relize the exten of his broken bones from a fall (wrist?or maybe arm, I think wrist.... He sounded sceptical of his capabilities...... But I'll find out more.... Havn't talked to Ainsley in a while..... I should call him too

I was pretty sure it was planned for the weekend before as well, I know we talked about it last year but that was last year.....
ReplyDeleteSome bad news for me, won't be able to go this year after all. Lynda's insurance company for her house insurance informed her she has to replace her furnace by Sept. 5th because the existing furnace is about 40 years old so thats eating up any extra funds we might have had and would mean an extra trip near the end of August. Each trip takes at least $500 just for fuel and food etc so unfortunately thats the next trip back to the Okanagan.
I didn't realise we were supposed to be going the previous weekend, sorry I must've totally forgotten that conversation. I'm on call the previous weekend, so thats out for me. Maybe we should hold off until the end of August when Robs in town and Morty will be healed up? I'm on call again Aug 27-Sept 3 but might be able to trade that, Rob when were you planning to be here?

ReplyDeleteJeremy should be good to go then - got the pin out of his wrist today! He will know more in the next few weeks :) He is on kid duty Sept 1st while I am working at an event.... so if he can find a sitter he is GOLDEN!!
ReplyDeleteok, we finally worked out when we are going to be in Winfield. Leaving here on August 30, arrive in Winbuck on the 31st then hopefully leaving to return to Lloydminster on the 3rd of Sept.
