I was wondering when someone would get this going. I was thinking the other day that we should try and go somewhere in the Okanagan, so if Rob comes he can roll in a visit with his kids, etc.
Boucherie was not the first place that came to mind, but we won't be hiking in the snow and freezing our butts off at night up there. Not taking cheap shots at Morty, we've been very lucky in all the other years that the weather has been between ok and really awesome. The coast has gotten record snow the last few years and last summer was particularly cold and rainy. That being said, I'd be happy camping in Joels backyard and hiking up Little White, or doing a full up the mountain camping hike, if that's what people want to do, I don't care.
I have a family camping trip up to Mt.Robson in the second week of August, so I would prefer not to go into the kootneys this year if possible. It's a lot of driving 2 weeks in a row.(unless someone else is driving...?) I would like to go to the Kokanee Glacier one year, since I missed it the first time.
In response to Joels questions:
1. My main goal with this trip is to hang out with you guys, it's the only time I get to do that.
2.Fav memory is a tough one, loved camping/hiking Diamondhead, also Abbott Ridge was awesome.
I prefer camping on the mountain, because its so cool, but its way more work, and that leads me to...
3. I'm in really bad shape. I know I always say I'm in the worst shape ever, but this time its true.
However, apparently I have 8 weeks to get working on that :)
4-7. I am prepared for anything, able to go anywhere, and definitely a liability to myself and others!
